Invisible Cartographies
Invisible Cartographies is an ongoing series of limited edition digital pigment prints (edition of 5) that explores shifting perceptions of place and memory. Drawing on the cultural and industrial history of the Firth of Clyde, the works layer drawing, photography, and mixed media processes to create complex visual terrains. These “maps” are not literal, but speculative and interpretive; suggesting landscapes marked by labour, heritage, and the passage of time, while also reflecting the influence of digital technologies on how we chart and experience our environments. The series brings together the visible and the absent, the remembered and the forgotten, inviting viewers to consider how human activity continues to redraw both our physical and imaginative geographies.
